Healthcare employment opportunities abound in Oakland and the rest of the southwestern Pennsylvania region. HEA (Health Employment Access) is a workforce solutions initiative of JobLinks that provides a variety of training services specific to the healthcare industry.
The last few decades have seen an increased demand for a skilled workforce to enter into healthcare employment in a variety of both entry-level and advanced positions. In response to this demand and the prevalence of the healthcare field in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region, JobLinks specializes in assisting both healthcare employers and job seekers.
Healthcare employment includes entry-level access as well as training for workers who wish to advance their careers. HEA provides CPR certification and First Aid instruction programs and trains individuals to be Home Health Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). Our staff’s years of experience make them expert counselors for those who seek other forms of healthcare employment as well. Additionally, HEA serves employers who wish to further train their staff and enhance their skills.
We continue to hear from clients who, in years past completed our CPR certification, Home Health Assistant, and CNA programs and went on to be certified as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Registered Nurses (RN). Others have cross-trained in fields such as phlebotomy.
